TRAINING OF SECURITY STAFF
Training is conducted for security staff in accordance with the syllabus prescribed by Police Headquarters, Lucknow. A 20-day training program is conducted, during which the security staff is trained in the following areas:
- Proper wearing of uniform
- Operation of CCTV systems (OCTV)
- Types and handling of gate passes
- Operation of gates, barriers, and parking systems
- Saluting protocol
- Handling metal detectors
- Telephone handling etiquette
- Identifying intruders and objectionable materials
- Firefighting
- Use of radio communication sets
- Personal frisking techniques
The training is delivered as follows:
- Classroom Training – 100 hours.
- Field Training – 60 hours.
However, if the security staff has previously worked in a security organization, a refresher course is conducted in areas deemed essential for adapting to the new working environment. On-the-job training and familiarization are carried out at the work site by the respective Field Supervisors.
Physical Fitness
Security staff are assessed for both physical and mental fitness by a medical officer appointed by the firm. Only medically fit personnel are selected and deployed on duty.
Age Criteria
Security staff are selected between the ages of 18 and 60. However, age preferences may vary from site to site, based on the client’s requirements. This agency prefers to deploy staff between the ages of 25 and 40, as they are considered both mature and energetic.
Incentives
Each cluster of security staff is regularly assessed based on duty performance. One security staff member from each cluster, along with one overall best performer, is selected every month and rewarded monetarily. Similarly, at the end of the year, the best security staff member is chosen and suitably awarded.
